The Great Gatsby has a very special place in my heart. No matter how many books I read and fall in love with, they do not hold a candle to F. Scott Fitzgerald’s literary masterpiece.
While most of my classmates in high school hated this book, it was the book that made me realize the importance and beauty of literature and the art of writing itself. F. Scott Fitzgerald embodies everything I love about reading and about being a writer.
Because I’ve been rereading the book and watching both versions of the film, I’ve just put a few Gatsby related photos together. No matter how sad I’m feeling, there is something about this book that just makes me feel better.
